Hypnotherapy… Hypnotherapy has been used for centuries, but hasn’t been appreciated by the general public until recently. It has only been in the last 50 years that the art and science of hypnotherapy has emerged as an approach with astounding results. While there are no guarantees that any one technique will be the answer to the needed changes, the techniques have become easier to accept and clients are having successes that have otherwise been evading them.
The practice of hypnosis is a way of communicating with the subconscious mind or the part of the mind that stores all experiences without judgment; positive or negative. This is done while in a trance state or dream-like state. Hypnosis can then reprogram the subconscious mind through suggestions made by the therapist and clients to accept the new approach that will produce the needed changes for success.
Many successful people use hypnosis for breaking out of their deeply rooted and ineffective belief systems. They are able to reach their goals by changing behaviors that are no longer effective. These can be achieved in an office environment, Skype, on the phone or through self-hypnosis recordings. You will have complete control and will be able to self-direct the process toward your desired goals. The process induces a relaxing calming feeling that allows the mind to reach a meditative state. You are relaxed, but alert, and at times you will still be aware of your surroundings. This state is a form of trance.
A Trance is a natural state that we are often in without realizing it. Sometimes when we are daydreaming while driving, all of a sudden we come back to a conscious state and wonder how we got there. That is a self-induced trance state. There is nothing scary or frightening, if we realize we all drift to that level many times naturally. Everyone is capable if they want to be hypnotized and are willing to release any misconceptions or fears of the process. Hypnosis as a therapy can also be used in conjunction with other alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, Reiki, massage and coaching.
